MOM's Organic Grocer to open stores

The six-store chain has locations mostly outside of the Washington area. The closest store to Baltimore is in Columbia. The Timonium store is part of an expansion plan by the company to open five to six new stores by the end of 2012.

The idea is to build grocery stores that are open to everyone but offer discounts to government retirees and workers with a GERS retirement plan.

SPAR Announces £150m Deal With Bourne Leisure Group

SPAR UK has announced a five year contract worth £150m at retail level, with Bourne Leisure Group, the UK owner of Haven Holiday Parks, Butlins and Warner Hotels. The contract will see 42 SPAR branded stores at all 36 Haven Holiday Parks across England, Scotland and Wales and the three Butlins Family Entertainment Resorts in Bognor Regis, Skegness and Minehead.

DoP opened only 55 Jan Aushadhi stores till March 2010, target set was 276

The Union minister of state for chemicals Shrikant Jena's ambitious target to open 276 Jan Aushadhi (generic drug) stores by March 31, 2010 in different parts of the country remained on paper only as the department of pharmaceuticals (DoP) could open only 55 stores so far, not even 25 per cent of the target.
